Greyfriars Kirk would not be able to offer what it does without the dedicated work of our volunteers…
We have Volunteer Welcomers who man the Kirk in our opening months, greeting visitors and providing help and information.
We have Volunteer Stewards who assist with our concerts and welcome audiences. Events often need Volunteer Caterers, to assist with food preparation and refreshments
We have Volunteer Tour Guides who operate our tours and give up their time and valuable knowledge of the Kirk and Kirkyard.
And we have our Flower Team, who arrange fresh flowers every two weeks, keep the Kirk looking beautiful all through the year, as well as Choral Students, who share the musical gifts in the choir.
All in all, our volunteers interact with over 200,000 visitors every year. And in order to continue to provide such a warm welcome to tourists, we are always looking to recruit more!
