Find your way to the Kirk

By bus

The numbers 23, 27, 41 and 42 all stop on George IV Bridge – just a 30-second walk across the road from the entrance to the Kirkyard. Going in the other direction (from the south of Edinburgh), the same services stop on Forest Road – an even shorter distance! Please visit Lothian Buses for more information on routes and prices.

By train

Edinburgh Waverley is the main station, and the Kirk is a 10-minute walk away, admittedly up some rather steep hills! Head out from the Waverly Bridge exit, then left onto Market Street, up the hill until you reach the Mound. Turn left onto North Bank Street and follow the road round until it turns into George IV Bridge. Head along on the right-hand side until you reach the statue of Greyfriars Bobby, where the road intersects with Candlemaker Row. The Kirkyard entrance is almost directly behind Bobby.

Please visit National Rail or Trainline for further details on train timetables and ticket prices.
