Welcome to part two of the 2026 Greyfriars@12 Autumn Series.
A recently formed ensemble of Scottish professional musicians, the Salon quartet is developing a distinctive voice through refined musicianship and finely balanced ensemble playing. They recently received a 5-star review for a Fringe performance with pianist Matthew Shiel: The Salon Quartet – create a close musical dialogue with the piano, contributing colour, shading and a constant emotional tension. Heather Kennedy leads the musicians with strident urgency before slowing into softer passages of aching tenderness.
On Thursday’s at noon, we open our doors to the city for an inspiring lunchtime concert series. Greyfriars at 12 began back in 2016 and we have been championing both rising local talent and acclaimed international musicians ever since.
Attendance is open to everyone, and donations are encouraged on the day.
If you would like to receive email updates about our lunchtime concert series, use this form to join the mailing list.
Please note our Midweek Prayers Service begins at 1:05pm after Thursday lunchtime concerts.
