The Cathures Quartet are all members of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. They first played together as a quartet for a concert of the Danish String Quartet’s “Last Leaf” and “Wood Works” albums at the 2024 Nordic Music Days festival, and they had so much fun doing so that they have been playing together ever since. They have given acclaimed performances across Scotland, including for the RSNO chamber music series. They are equally at home playing core classical quartet repertoire, lesser known 20th century and contemporary pieces and crossover works. Cathures is the ancient name for Glasgow, the city where they are based.
Patrick Curlett – violin
Robin Wilson – violin
Beth Woodford – viola
Robert Anderson – cello
