The New York Handbell Ringers is composed of ringers from Katonah Presbyterian Church in Katonah, New York, and Emanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville, New York, under the direction of Scott Munson and Eiko Shimazu Cornelius, respectively. The handbell music ministries have been a very important part of both churches for more than 45 years. Ringers from 2nd graders through adults regularly rehearse and ring for worship, as well as participate in local, area, and international festivals.
Handbell ringing brings people of all ages and ethnicities together to make beautiful music. Teamwork is critical. Each ringer is responsible for different notes. Together, they create a more beautiful sound than any one ringer could make alone.
