Leeds University Union Music Society

Leeds University Union Music Society, is one of the biggest music and performance societies within LUU, with almost 300 members from all universities in Leeds!

With 11 different ensembles under its wing, LUUMS provides opportunities for musicians across all skill levels through 7 non-auditioned and 4 auditioned ensembles. Each ensemble presents three concerts across the year, giving our musicians numerous opportunities to perform publicly. In addition to these concerts, the ensembles are involved in extended opportunities such as UniBrass, LUUMS Concerto Competition and annual tour.

The ensembles showcase a diverse selection of music, including orchestral works, film scores, jazz, experimental and popular music. There are 3 choirs, 2 orchestras, 2 wind bands, a string orchestra, a brass band, a composer’s collective and a percussion ensemble.
