The Ensemble
The Men in Black are violin, viola, cello, and guitar students from St. Xavier High School (St. X) in Cincinnati, Ohio. St X was founded in 1831 and is an all-male, Jesuit high school with about 1,300 students enrolled in grades 9 – 12. The Fine Arts are a high priority at St. X. There is a strong visual arts program, a thriving theater, and many musical performing groups. In addition to a marching band, St. X provides students with an experience in concert band, jazz band, choir, liturgical music, as well as strings and guitar. The Men in Black are directed by Mr. Isaac Watras. Mr. Watras grew up in the Cincinnati area and studied cello, composition, and education at schools including the Indiana School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana.
